Trump just banned Chinese humanoid and other advanced robots. Plus power inverters. No sense on the last part there.
>>
We appear to be so far behind china, technologically, that we're constantly afraid they have a form of techno wizardry we can't figure out, which is embedded in everything. In fact, the power inverter is probably just a power inverter.

This fear can apply to literally any chinese technology, though.

Ah yes I'm sure sticking our heads in the sand while China surpasses us in every area of technology will turn out well.
>>
>>539794201
Didn't Trump already try to ban Chinese drones and nothing happened?
>>
>>539794467
Yeah but humanoid robots gather walking data which is basically streetview for human locations instead of cars. It's a major problem / extremely desirable data source. It's one of the only real valuable reasons why humanoid robotics are even being built today as the tech is basically asimo from honda but with a better processor and sensors.

The migger believes a power inverter is a computer surveillance device that can radio china and tell them what frequency our mains power uses. Scary stuff.
>>
>>539794793
I'm not saying anything about the robots, just the power inverters, as a leftist guy who put a solar array in his home, and I assure you literally every product is made in China, while we have zero manufacturing capacity in this nation due to our corrupt capitalist policies.

What will China do with location of MIGGers trailer park in Kentucky or Alabama though. Even if they spy a MIGGER they will soon find he lives alone or is married to his cousin and working in local butcher shop

The robots that the American car/arms industry needs now belong to China.
It's crazy that people are talking about meme tech companies that never had profit in their entire history being sold for hundreds of billions while China brought the single most important automation company in history for 5 billion.

That's hilarious, your selling point for "buy American" is "you should be willing to flush more money down the drain on an inferior product just to prove you're not poor". Surely this will serve as a powerful piece of right-wing political propaganda. Certainly.

Modern inverters carry enough components on their boards to easily hide a kill switch. Unless you're willing to QA every single inverter that comes off the boat you're inviting an adversary to place sabotage devices inside your own borders. They've already shown this to be the case with relays.

FANUC, ABB, and Yaskawa all produce similar arms, and can be swapped easily. Also Fanuc and Yaskawa (Japan), ABB (Switzerland), + you have American offerings like Teradyne, USABotics, Agility, and Boston Dynamics (all 4 USA)

Coming from a Jew-run government, it's really a complaint that Chinese technology would NOT allow all those things that Mossad could use to spy on and attack American citizens.

Nigger, America's exports are just rebranded Chinese products.
This is not even an issue of wages anymore; Americans simply don't know how to produce stuff anymore. All engineers are just MBA looking for loopholes to outsource stuff.
Everyone who knew how to operate machinery is 70 years old, and the only place still making machinery is China.

Take a simple pair of scissors. For example, Klein Tools, Some of the best scissors on the market, made in USA and they are heirloom tier meaning you can pass them down to your children and their grandchildren. Because the quality is that good. You can buy two pairs of cheap Chinese scissors that will break in a month for the price of 1 Klein tools pair. You're a dumb nigger.

How did I lose? I'm a communist. We won and the US is collapsing.

Look I want you to ban all of the imports from China, I told you, lol. You're the ones who who made us dependent on them due to your own corrupt capitalist policies, on the far right. By all means, please ban the imports and watch one of the last legs of the US economy, along with the mass immigration which is the exact same premise, finally be kicked out. Oh right, you won't, which is why MIGA campaigned on this policy twice, then backed out the moment they were in office.

You can hack devices with the power inverter. It's one of the most common backdoors a company will put in a device, on top of being an attack-surface of its own normally.

What if the Chinese put a time bomb in cheap home electronics, something to cause a fire? They could burn down nearly every house in the nation and most offices and even government buildings with a single instruction, even programming it all to go off in advance. Could happen over the Internet, or wirelessly, maybe both! Like those Israeli pager attacks.

We're good at creating financial instruments, to make money on paper based on theoretical future outcomes. We don't actually build much of anything, because investors aren't going to invest in building stuff when they could instead invest in credit default swaps and leveraged ETFs.

>>
That's an admission of defeat. Boston dynamics have been around for 20 times longer than these other Chinese companies and achieved nothing, they've already been surpassed.

America is incompetent, it's the same as with SpaceX and Tesla, been giving billions in government money to achieve nothing and easily become outclassed.

Trump is a retard
>>
>>539794201
Even Trump has the presence of mind to know surrounding our cities with CCP spy cameras on legs is a bad idea, cost-savings be damned.
>>539794367
I look at it in the same light as US tank development versus USSR tanks: sure, the soviets rushed out some good stuff like the T-64 while we were still refitting WWII-era chassis, but that was because we were prototyping all the new technology to ensure the end result would be future-proofed for at least a century. Having a robot buddy that will be with you for the long haul and can be made to do what you want without replacing the whole damn thing is worth it.

Inverters are banned for the same reason robots are banned and cheap EVs (BYD) are banned. There maybe a common link here.

no sane country would want humanoid robots or self driving cars created by a country they could potentially be at war with. Imagine if those robots started pulling people's heads off, and the cars started relaying information, and slamming themselves into gas stations. It would be chaos, like a zombie apocalypse, but with robots
>>
>>539797035
>It's okay when my LG tv does it though

Robots can be made to spy or use firearms. Inverters can be made to overload batteries and cause fires or explosions. They could also be engineered to emit harmful frequencies. It's just not worth the risk.
