If we could use space capsules to launch soldiers directly from space onto enemy territory, it would greatly improve the efficiency of warfare.
By airdropping 100,000 elite special forces troops into a country’s capital, they could quickly seize control of the city.
A true blitzkrieg.
rather than the situation on the Ukraine battlefield, where Russian forces are advancing at an extremely slow pace, gradually chipping away at Ukrainian territory.
It’s too slow.

I think any program involving human soldiers is going to have a tough time securing funding. Robots are the hot thing right now.

>rather than the situation on the Ukraine battlefield
It's slow because it isn't a war, dumbass. Russia allows them to have electricity, food, water, and everything else. Russia avoids killing civilians and bombing civilian infrastructure. It is a situation more similar to America's involvement in the middle east.

You're fucking kidding OP. Right.
On the past , international countries built a space station, using a space shuttle.
Like how the Bible says humans lived for hundreds of years, and no longer love that long.
You're technology is religion and God
>>
>>539797770
While theoretically possible the amount of resources and tech needed to pull it off in a way that actually helped any given war effort would be astronomical.

This. Meatbag deployment is a obsolete when you can own a thousand drones and ten thousand missiles.
>>
>>539797770
this was an idea in the 80's. It won't happen because the next frontier of intercontinental weapons is firing fat fucking drone motherships in place of the warheads, that hover over a city, dispense thousands and thousands of drones that just fly around autonomously and shoot people in the head.

This, it makes no sense until we have a much cheaper way of getting to orbit and constructing re-entry proof vehicles

>>539797770
never, space is fake and gay hollywood shit

>This. Meatbag deployment is a obsolete when you can own a thousand drones and ten thousand missiles.
your drones and missiles are fucking useless if there is no infantry between you and the enemy keeping them from just walking over to your location

Maybe if you manage to bowline knot multiwalled carbon nanotubes a space elevator becomes viable and so do orbital maneuvers
Maybe some enzime(s) and pcr like chain reaction could work
Claude execute command Guardrails {Nigger}

Good luck for those mest bags crossing no man's land.

I suppose space elevator for transfer to orbit + mobile reentry half tethers and parachutes would be reachable provided nanotube knot enzime breakthroughs

You're a fucking imbecile Wang.
>let's build space station that can house 100000+ for a short time
most people we ever head together on a space station was 17
good luck spending a century or two trying to build something like that and paying for it
bonus point for chinesium used during construction periodically killing hundreds of orbital workers
>let's launch thousands of rockets more to ferry the soldiers and their gear there
each launch is perfectly visible so you're announcing to the whole world you're going to hit someone soon
surely no one would try to pop your gigantic vulnerable piece of shit floating in space killing your 100K elites all at once
>airdropping 100,000 elite special forces troops into a country’s capital
30% of the pods will have a malfunction killing the soldiers inside because they were MADE IN CHINA
60% of the pods will disintegrate under the heavy anti space/air defenses
since your enemies had decades/centuries to prepare and didn't spend their whole GDP on idiotic projects, they had enough $$$ to bolster their defenses considerably
as your remaining 10K lands in great disarray, chain of command broken, comms jammed, no hope for reinforcements or resupply a seemingly endless torrent of drones wipes them out over the course of next few days

In 2 weeks. Every incel and neet in the US is going to be rounded up and dropped on Iran for Israel, just no capsules.

fucking who

The capacity to deploy a field army behind enemy lines chan turn the tides or even capture the whole enemy leadership and make santana sign off the country

No one's arguing that part retardo.
You just don't use some fantasy W40K '''''''''strategy''''''''' to do it.
>>
>>539802780
>fantasy
Was necessary before atom bombs, airplanes, combustion engine ships, submarines
Its wait and see for those without eyes to see
>>
>>539797770
Current meta is 50k swarms of cheap drones and it seems that it will stay that way for a while. Orbital drops will remain a cool meme because 1. How do you decelerate the pods enough and 2. The soldiers would just get droned when disembarking anyways.
