I do understand that tariffs can be a good thing to boost a country's internal industry and create more jobs, but USA is a not an industrialized country anymore, it has only services like facebook, banking, onlyfans and financeHow is limiting the imports of european and chinese goods going to improve americans?
>>539798494You missed the part where we're re-industrializing. I know it's confusing to midwits, but try to keep up.
>>539798494Tariffs will limit the export of jobs.Corporations responded by importing the jeets. Now, we have to limit the import of workers.
>>539801008>we're re-industrializing
>>539798494>do understand that tariffs can be a good thing to boost a country's internal industry and create more jobs, bThey aren't. This is something retarded proles believe, not serious economists.
>>539801860>serious (((economists)))
>>539801008by importing jeets?
>>539801860I have a bs in econ, a masters in acct, a masters in business admin, a dozen publications and half a dozen certs and licenses. Economic models that interpret tariffs negatively due to deadweight welfare loss assume that all requirements for production are the same. For instance, the EU puts stipulations of not dumping trash in the river, where as Indian will fill the river with trash. This puts EU at a disadvantage in production, yet the whole world suffers from Indian trash. A world economy doesn’t work, we see this in every disgusting third world shithole, we see this with unrelenting immigration, and we saw this significantly with supply chain disruptions during Covid. Stop worshipping academic faggots. It’s a club and you’re not a member.
>>539801719Sorry, not sorry but us is a leader and onshoring has occurred. I wasn't expecting this but in my home town they opened a plastic rotational thermoforming factory. The products they handle were made in China just a few years ago... I thought US was just a leader in silicon, software and auto manufacturing. But I guess we are bring back plastic too.>>539801860Serious economists don't believe it but they were wrong. After all did China benefit from a free market or did they have strong market control and pulled the levers that benefited their domestic growth... Yeah, it was the latter. And yes it is cope to cling on to what was demonstrably wrong.
