As a Staff Sergeant, I had 8 young men in my squad and I would have given my life for any one of them. Without question. Regardless of if we were out boozing and bar brawling or fighting a politician’s shitty way, those were my brothers and that was my gang. The Russian army has no NCO corps. Just an officer in charge of an entire company/platoon of men. You can see the results of that on the battlefield. It’s inefficient, mid evil and a losing combination. I don’t even understand how they operate that way.
I watched Russia struggle without NCOs right off the bat at that Hostomel airport air assault. That was an unorganized shitshow as was the convoy that was supposed to relieve them.Anybody with military experience, navy, airforce, coast guard or any other POG type experience can look right at the Russian army and tell you what the absence of NCOs is going to them.
