Again, why would anyone not want this?

I LOVE ME SOME NIGGER COCK BRO
>>539853531Will he be announcing a city Gosplan as well?
>>539853531Idk im guessing taxes will go up and these stores get sold out quickly so it doesn't end up benefitting people that much.
30% cheaper than other retailers is still 100% more expensive than prices 20 years ago
>>539853531>Buy shit with SNAP or EBT>Resell with profitNiggers will become millionaires
>>539853531>This time it won't be a disaster!
>>53985353130% cheaper than ahold delhazie is easy. The gay dutch company owns most of the US east coast grocery stores. If there was real competition, this shit wouldn't work. But there ain't.
>>539853531If you own a local quick mart or an economics book you wouldn't want this.
>>539853531Is this unprecedented? Surely it's been attempted before and was successful.
>>539853531It's not 30% cheaper. The customer is paying 30% less but the overall cost is probably 200% or more all things considered
>>539853531>lowers the price on the shelf by raising your even taxes more because government is never as efficient as the private sector>"look it's cheaper now"Lol boy are you cucks in for a surprise
>>539857962Absolutely. And who ultimately is going to pay for that?
>Why would you not want this The long term consequences that come bundle with it. The short term is cheaper groceries the long term consequence is a food dessert. Grocery stores don't have huge margin. If you undercut them by 30% you're selling at a loss. If you do this along with free busing you're gonna run at a deficit. If it gets bad enough you either jack up prices to be cost effective or shut down the store. When the store does shut down all the competition will be gone because you undercut their margins screwing everyone in that neighborhood.
>>539858025They're going to be privately operated. City is just the owner. Private companies bid on a rent & tax free location provided by the city, then private companies run the store. It's cheaper because they're not paying rent or taxes or shareholders or C-suites. But they're still ordering the food and managing the inventory and making their profit.
>>539853531Because it isn't cheaper just subsidized and the 30%+ is taken from city coffers to pay the company to drop prices and give a cut to that mudslime
>>539853531What is the quality of the food?
