Things are returning to normal. Nevada in it's natural state was oriented towards the north and center around Reno, Sparks and Carson City because it's the other side of Lake Tahoe, a reliable source of fresh water. California has already adapted to this by raising residental water rates and redeveloping farmland, Southern Nevada is still in complete denial about Lake Mead's draining.
