I hated working until I got a wagie job, not even joking. No more major responsibilities, no more "drumming up work" and waiting for phone calls. Just clock in, work at my own pace, clock out. Don't care what happens when I get home. Make less money but less stress, mandated days off, less driving around.At the very least if you're childless, consider a slightly-above-minimum wage job.

It's easier to live a basic life in a remote community where it's the norm that everyone contributes with basic tasks like building and fixing things, catching and cleaning fish, making clothes and that sort of stuff.
