I went to India for the first time back in early June. I went there primarily for religious reasons, as I did join a Shakta temple in the US back in 2020. So saving for India was a goal of mine, turned out to be everything the internet said it was. It smelled like sewage, underdeveloped, rude mother fuckers and everyone trying to sell me something because I am a white man.This isn't going to change my faith or anything. How in the hell did such a nasty and arrogant people, produce such a complex and beautiful belief system? I had no issues attending the temples in India, but the actual cities themselves were a disgrace. I should have went to China, I felt like I wasted money.

One of my sister's high school friends went there in 2008 as a graduation trip and hated it because she said it was hot, smelled bad, and all the guys were ugly. Then she went to Germany and said it was awesome.

The answer is simple: they didn't.Indians today aren't the same as Indians thousands of years ago.Look at what's happening with the US and it's Euro and Mexican population. Sure, we have modern transit, but over thousands of years you don't need that, just slow diffusion of people + different breeding rates.The caste system of India was their attempt at keeping the people separated, and it was ultimately a failure.
