I just paid $4.19/gallon for gas, then went grocery shopping and spent another $180 on food for the next 3 days. I’m ngmi.

The boot straps, pull them up. It's time. There is no looking back, only forward. Boots are made for stomping. It's time to bring the pain. Do it.

Was that for a family of five or just you? Also was that all groceries or JUST food? I spend about 500/week for a family of five on all groceries, so 180 for three days is reasonable, but if it's just you and just food that's a little pricey.

wtf did you buy? i got food for the week and it was about $50 total. i cook for every meal.

umm just a suggestion, buut maybe you could just stop splurging on gut healthy-juices and rotisserie chicken, and then you would have enough money?
>>

rotisserie chicken is often chicken that was on its way out and needed to be sold quick and it's really not that expensive.
i still dont buy it for the aforementioned reason.

I have been surviving on whole wheat bread and organic peanut butter. 1 jar and a loaf is 3 days of food at $16.

You must have filled up at a Democrat gas station or something because nowhere i know of has gas prices that high. Why I think you just got hoaxed by a Democrat Anon.
>>

it is not. rotisserie chickens aren't whole chickens that are taken off the shelf. they were always going to be rotisserie chickens. the grocery store does not shuffle around stock like that

If you don't have a white collar job or a high paying fake e-mail remote job your only option is suicide.

The chickens are grown for weight. Costco needs them to be exactly 5 lbs. Its a loss leader. They put it in the back of the store so you have to walk by all of the other items.

The equation may be going back towards profit though chicken production is way up in the US its brought prices down. Beef prices are insane atm though.
