Thus, the hair that they have to split is to figure out a way to portray themselves as "based" (i.e., opposed to mass immigration, globalization, and progressivism) while still stigmatizing and rejecting leftism (which is, fundamentally, anti-capitalism). As such, Hitler isn't bad because he was RACIST (which they want to wink to and destigmatize to regain legitimacy), he's bad because he was a LEFTIST. Mass immigration isn't being done by capitalists for cheap labor, it's being done by "leftists" to "destroy the west".
