When I think back on normal life and normal worries, things were still pretty normal I’d say up until 2010 or even 2012. (It still felt like a world tethered to reality mostly) by 2014 things were still pretty normal but starting to feel weird. then around 2016 with the trump election it’s like everything sped up and got crazier and weirder at like 10x the rate. (Not a statement on political parties just a timeline observation)If you were to pick a decade long period, say 2008 to 2018 idk how society got so fucking weird and stressful in one decade.Maybe a better analogy could even be 2010-2020. I understand the cracks were forming for a long time, many people say all the way back to the 90s or 80s or further back into the 70s. But I guess I’m just blown away at how abrupt everything changed in the periods I mentioned.Is it a stretch to say that the world between the 1980s and 2000s seems like less of a change than from the 2000s to 2020s? seems like we’re accelerating down whatever path were on.
