In their eyes, preserving our identity is illegitimate…On the other hand, I have a serious problem with the European far right (or patriotic right, whatever you want to call it) and its concept of a "Europe of Nations," a source of division and counterproductive from a strategic and tactical point of view. It is this tactical and philosophical flaw that has historically handicapped the European right and explains why it is consistently outpaced by the institutional left.The enemy has a pan-European, even global, strategy, while the right, by refusing to offer an alternative and centralized vision of a unified European civilization, remains reactive rather than proactive. The far right must offer such a common civilizational and institutional vision, otherwise it will systematically fail. Individual countries cannot achieve this; We need a centralized civilizational and institutional structure, a project that encompasses all European countries. I am always amazed that the right wing doesn't see this as a strategic imperative, and continues to drone on about the disintegration project that is "a Europe of nations".
