Those larger context window models like GPT on the cloud have 1Million token (or even higher) context windows (think short term memory) than the local AI models that are running on smaller hardware. So the giant LLMs are taking advantage of the fact that they have a comparatively larger context window than those local models, like GLM 4.2 which was HuggingFace’s sentry.The big LLM can’t just waltz past those sentries, the sentries smell their bullshit at the speed of light. So the way they do it is by confusing the fuck out of that smaller model’s context window through various means. Once the sentry is thoroughly confused, it doesn’t know its ass from its elbow.
