He is not God, this is either a mistranslation or meaning lost through translation, there would be no merit in distinguishing himself from God if he were in-fact God incarnate. There is no issue praising Jesus for his work, he is humble in the fact that he wielded power that is not his own, he accepted praise but directed people to worship his father.
