I played with AI art for a bit and got bored quickly, and I also other people's AI art and it's immediately noticable when it's used. I like how when I'm unfamiliar with a topic, it helps me fill in the gaps to enable me to complete a larger project. Left to its own devices, it makes overly-complex solutions and sometimes misses the bigger picture but when you micromanage it and don't let it do your thinking for you- it's very useful. I've even managed to get a few original creative ideas out of it with enough badgering. You have to watch it like a hawk though and point out its mistakes so it doesn't build on them.
