I'm getting paid the most I have ever in my entire life, more then most of my peers, and I still live paycheck to paycheck. It fucking sucks! My first paycheck goes to rent with 100 left over, nearly half my other check goes to bills. I have to go to food pantrys and shit, which actually has been a life saver for food.
I was seriously considering moving all my shit into a storage unit and trying to live out of my car for at least 1 year. Which would fucking suck but i would safe paying 950 for rent. Keep in mind i do not live in a big city at all. Its the rural mid west.
How the fuck do people even get by? like...people working at mcdonalds and stuff I cant even imagine.
I thought the boomer meme was a joke until i tried to explain to my parents how bad it actually is and they just flat out dont get it, and I have a feeling like my dad just flat out doesnt believe me, its insane. Will it ever end!?

Man in your teens or early 20s tenting is fucking based. Now that I'm in my 30s though with a bit of money I'm never tenting again fuck that shit. Terrible for so many reasons. These days I'd rather pull my teardrop trailer to a spot or rent a hotel. Like I know I could easily sleep in a tent, but I don't need to, so I won't. When you're 20 and you barely have any money you kinda have no choice.
