Why do Americans measure everything in money?
>>
>>539988398
Hmmmm
Nope, still haven't met anyone irl who gives a damn or even knows what it's about.
>>
>>539988512
this is why demark doesn't have a film industry.
>>
>>539988398
No one from my normie friends circle has watched this yet. They watched Obsession, they watched Backrooms, they watched Project Hail Mary, but not this. So who is even watching it?
>>
Sorry but barely breaking even isn’t really a success

Critical failures are often more damning than cult bombs for the future of studios as well

the northern countries like sweden, finland and denmark have very very good crime shows, much better than american shit.
>>
I don't get it, I went to see the film, I don't care about the needless diversity and even ignoring the dumb American accents, poor writing, the ugly design, and poor casting choices, overall the film was just pretty poorly paced and boring, there were some good scenes but why is it getting so much praise

>>

they're probably buying the tickets themselves so it "doesn't flop", but then nobody goes to see the movie.
>>
>>539989180
They make 50% back on all tickets they themselves purchased btw, and can write the rest off on taxes as a loss.
Look up Internal Revenue Code Section 181
>Internal Revenue Code (IRC) Section 181 allows taxpayers to immediately deduct production costs for qualified film, television, live theatrical, and sound recording productions in the year expenses are incurred, rather than capitalizing and depreciating them over time.
>>
>no one sees the movie
>hollywood spends marketing budget buying tickets and reviews
OWNED
