They hate the home grower. Politically speaking, how is your garden going?

If your tomato doesn't look like this, what are you even eating?

Go be an incompetent astroturfer somewhere else

My dad loves to sabotage my garden and my mum just wants to grow weed. He basically lives in a cloud of bug spray and wonders why he has Parkinson's. So I'm waiting for them to die so I can have nice things

My pepper garden has been great this year, although I skipped the super-hots because I still have so much dried powder left. A little goes a long way with reapers. Tried a new plant just called “super peppers” and it’s yielded massive amounts, theyre great for salsa and about as spicy as a cayenne. My habaneros sucked this year, I think I put them outside too late and they missed prime pollination.

true. knowing you grew it just improves the whole experience.

prime example: American shit inducing lettuce

Super hots mixed with some other peppers - I dry them and grind to make a super potent spice powder for my Texas red chili

how do you keep the birds away? I just planted some Pili Pili seeds.

>50,000 to 175,000 Scoville units
>Pili Pili Bird’s Eye is a fiery little chilli with deep roots across Eastern and Southern Africa, where it grows as a semi-wild staple in gardens, fields, and along fences. Though the name “pili pili” simply means “pepper” in Swahili, this term has become synonymous with small, upright chillis used in everyday cooking and traditional sauces. The Bird’s Eye type is especially prized for its robust flavour and reliable heat, and has been a cornerstone of coastal and inland food cultures from Zanzibar to Zambia.

I’ve never had issues with birds, I have bird houses and feeders in my yard though - not sure if that keeps them out of the peppers or if the local birds just don’t care for them

you're probably familiar with Pepper Guru on Youtube? he grows in 100% compost as potting substrate, and fertilises every watering. Massive bushes.
>>539994818
yeah, i was forced to start feeding them. they destroy plenty tomatoes and peppers. bastards.

my brandywine looks just like that. only meat and a couple of seeds

I tried it for the first time and I fucked up a lot of stuff and the heatwave finished off what was still alive. I have a plant graveyard in my patio now.
Today I got myself a large bag of potting soil and a bunch of seeds. I'm dumping everything and starting from scratch with a bunch of perennials that I selected for my climate and that are a bit more resilient to human mistakes.
