Centre left Liberal here. Can we all just fucking relax? Socialism is cringe, Fascism is really cringe. Lets not do any of that. Lets just get along and enjoy free markets together.
>>540006328free markets isnt real, it has to be controlled somehow. homo economicus is just as gay and unnatural as communism is.
>>540006328you lost tranny.
>>540006328Based. Let's all be centrists and support Israel.
>>540006328free markets are keeping more of us poor by the daywe need either a far left or far right party to take leadership. i'm sick of the state of affairs.
>>540006328>Lets just get along and enjoy free markets together. Most of us aren't enjoying "free markets." 60% of my money goes to rent every month, and my demographic's share of wealth hasn't risen so much as a percentage point in the last 40 years. Every year, my wages lose against inflation. Every year, the government prioritizes the growth of the stock market, the interests of the rich, and the desires of lobbyists foreign and domestic. I don't think free markets are that great. The middle class was most likely an artifact of socialist policies in the wake of the Great Depression which capitalists then spent the next 90 years undermining. We're arguably at its apotheosis right now -- the point at which the rich no longer feel so much as the need to pretend to be humble about their success.Maybe you're doing alright. I'd say I'm happy for you, but it's really hard to be happy for the lucky (and diminishing) few who manage to keep their heads above water in this rapacious system.
>>540006328no fuck off
>>540006562>we need either a far left or far right party to take leadershipHave we not tried a sufficiently-far right party over the last decade? Trump 2.0 cares even less about norms and institutions than Trump 1.0 did, and what's the result? Not only is everything getting worse, but there seem to be no guardrails remaining. It strikes me that the center cannot hold in all possible respects, but that the worst of us are almost all slavering at the right margins, selling us even deeper identitarianism and even more politics of authority and submission. The way I see it, one of the primary problems with this country in general right now is a gluttony of centralization -- ultrarich elites have captured our political process and are currently capturing more of our media environment to entrench their gains among those who look to others for their opinions. There is, in a sense, a coup in all but name. Elites already control the government; now, they're buying the means through which many of us perceive that control. The only thing they're not doing is rolling tanks, but maybe that'll come, too. Right views are authoritarian views. Capitalism, as a mechanism which naturally concentrates economic power, is economically authoritarian. I think more authoritarianism is not going to solve anything for us.
>>540006328No. Kill yourself.
>>540006328We've been doing that for the past 80 fucking years you mong. That's why we're in this situation in the first place.>Just keep doing this thing that doesn't workMMMM... No I don't think I will :^)
