I have a feeling Hegseth has the potential to become a sort of Coriolanus. He already has the psychological traits and motivations. A commander who starts out fiercely loyal to his homeland, but through war comes to admire aspects of the enemy while growing disillusioned with his own state's political leadership and civilian society as decadent, and ungrateful. All it would take is for him to be cast aside by his own side and offered a place by the enemy and you'd have a classic Coriolanus.
