No, plants and natural.fungus should never be illegal. This of course includes weed, the coca plant, poppy plants, mushrooms, peyote/San Pedro, ect..The issue is addiction. Addiction is a medical issue and should be treated as such. That said, my biggest pet peeve is stoners who claim to be sober or think they are better than someone who drinks. My dad entered semi-retirement and he has become a wake and bake pothead. I have noticed he now lacks the willpower to do anything, really. He mostly watches Youtube and Amazon Prime all day. He has become very forgetful and loses track of his belongings, even his dogs. He has always been fat but now he eats in such a careless and gross way. Like when he cooks, everything is burned or raw or soaked in grease, and he doesn't bother to even cut the ingredients correctly anymore. He's eating slop that I guess makes sense when you are a pothead. Growing up, he cooked most of the meals for our family, and people would compliment him on his cooking.On the rare occasion he isn't high, there's anger hiding under the surface of his personality. Like he's going to have a public freakout. There are underlying money issues concerning their income and medical care, and emotional issues as his parents are entering the imminent death stage of their lives. So I guess he's just saying, "Fuck everything."I think the money spent on weed is becoming a bigger issue for my parents, because he needs stronger and stronger stuff to get obliterated every day. At first it's not a big deal, because one hit from a vape pen will get you going for an evening. But eventually it degenerates into needing more and more, and the cost goes up and up. Like you can't just burn hundreds of dollars of your budget on consumables if you're expecting to live in pension payments with no savings.I barely have anything and my siblings have even less than that, so it's not like we can help them. I can't put myself into poverty attempting to throw them a life preserver.
