It's not Xboxes are going up but the dollar is going down. In fact once you account for fact that the PS5/Series X is six years old, and normally console prices drop drastically over time as the technology becomes dated, you can see that the dollar has lost about 80% of its value since Covid. PS2 launch price was $299, cut to $199 like 15 months later. 3-4 years later PS2s were $129 or less with large library of Greatest Hits games that could be had for $20 each. Series X and PS5s should be going for under $200 at this point in the lifespan of those consoles but instead going for $800.
