What if the Western Allies had gone ahead with Churchill's plan of attacking the USSR after Hitler had been defeated? There's a lot of criticism over how the Soviets were allowed to take control over half of Europe like they were. Especially since Europe started in the first place in order to save Poland, but it ended with Poland being occupied anyway.Nevertheless, Churchill did at the very least have a plan put together to deal with the Red Menace. But (((Truman))) refused to go along with it, and it would not have been possible for Britain alone to have pulled it off without American support. But what if they hypothetically did have American support? Would it have worked? Could Europe have been fully liberated instead of only just half of it?
This was during the time the US had atom bombs and the Soviet Union did not so so they may have had a chance of winning.
