The base of Trumpism and evangelical Christian Zionism is the affluent middle class whites who live in the rural and exurban South, not poor whites. While there are a lot of poor whites in the rural south, though there are plenty of poor whites in urban industrial areas of northern blue states as well, they generally aren't the people there voting for Republicans as they mostly don't vote at all. And lower class whites are the demographic whose approval rating for Trump has fallen the most due to the Epstein files and the war in Iran, as well as Trump's economic agenda of favoring the rich at all costs. Indeed from what I've seen, white trash teen moms tend to be pro-Palestine and are the among the people most angry at Trump over the Epstein files as well as Trump's Medicaid and SNAP cuts. The MAGA cult is largely NOT made up of poor people, who are overwhelmingly cynical about politics and into conspiracy theories.
