I’m asking because I’m trying to figure out whether my trip in 2024 had any merit

I went to Paris in 2019 and to this day, I struggle to see any merit. Not because it was bad (somehow it wasn’t) but because I keep reading so many horrible things about it

So I wanna know whether I should be able to be proud of going to Rome in 2024, since I struggle being proud of going Paris in 2019

You'll most likely be disappointed. Try Malta
>>
>>540080862
What the fuck is in Paris anyway?
>>
Did you have fun? What was you goal and did you accomplish it?

Why would I be disappointed?

I liked it

> I went to Paris in 2019 and to this day, I struggle to see any merit.
everyone has this impression after visiting Paris. Its a scam.

Again, it’s because of the stuff I read about it being dirty and dangerous

Not because I didn’t like it

But because I want to know if my enjoyment was delusional or not

>But because I want to know if my enjoyment was delusional or not
are you asking other people whether you should have enjoyed what you enjoyed?

I'm not Parisian, and as a good French I'm the first one to shit hard on Paris, because there's many better cities in this country. But saying this is such BS. I can understand being thrown off if you're in Gare du Nord, just don't go there.
Stick to Les Invalides, Montmartre, l'ile de la cité, la Sainte-Chapelle , Le Louvre, Versailles, Les Champs Elysées, Galerie Lafayette & other shops, some gardens like Tuilerie, jardin des plantes, maybe some of the other hundred of museums depending on your taste. It's not like all of this disappeared just because niggers squat the north of the city from around Gare de l'Est/Gare du Nord.

Rome is OK if you like museums. Food can be good but really need to be careful of the tourist traps. Lots of the online reviews are not genuine in English language. Ask the ITALIAN older locals. Avoid any place that has non Italian staff anyone looking even slightly Arab or with Chinese staff they are almost all traps.

But Rome is still a capital with lots of immigrants.

Italy has a ton of great places to visit that are nigger and pickpocket free and no tourist traps.

Look up palmanova on google maps cool place.

Rule of thumb in Italy is that the more north u go the safer and cleaner it gets but the food gets a bit more central European than typical Italian.

Italy has the most UNESCO'S sites in the planet to the point that stuff which in other countries would be the primary national m attraction in Italy nobody even mentions it outside the local area.

Tons of castles. Tons of large medieval towns in amazing conditions. Cividale has a medieval fair every year that is great and 80% just Italians come to see it. And the town has great medieval churches a ghotic era museum, Caesar statues, a massive roman era solid stone bridge big enough for trucks to drive on, catacombs and good food. Yet it isn't even on the tourism radar because having Venice not very far sucks up the tourists. Near cividale you have Aquileia for stunning roman mosaics and some cool ruins. Good medieval stuff too and great wines. In Udine also nearby lovely reinassance hilltop castle in a small city.
Not far also Trieste castle is also cool and the small city has a very interesting mix of Italian and Austrian architecture good seafood. If you are in summer than you can go to lignano or bibione that have nice beaches and nightlife. Or drive 40min to the Slovenian border to the casinos, clubs and cheaper booze if that is your thing.

All of the above in just one region that is one of the least touristic and safest.

And there's many good things around the the city, like Chateau Vaux-le-Vicomte, cute smaller towns close to Paris, Giverny/rest of Normandy with the Seine valley, etc.

I thought Greece was better than Italy, less hectic. Also Crete is very nice.

Composite columns were a mistake. Society peaked at Corinthian.

To answer your other question, Rome feels less like a city people live in. Unlike Paris. You really feel that most of the "center" is just touristy things. But there's lot of great history to be seen, museums, and of course religious history and experience, if you like that.

>>540080862
Definately yes. Plan one day to visit the Vatican.
>>
>>540080862
Proud is a shallow thing, it's like showing off, something a whore would do.
Travelling is about learning thing, did you learn anything during your trips? If the answer is yes then you should feel good.

Love Paris. Love Rome. Love London.
Most European capitals are awesome places for a long weekend if you want to see good museums and sights, go shopping, eat amazing food, watch a show, have a nice drink and fuck your wife at one of those fancy hotels with a mirror beside the bed. Europe is awesome as long as you have enough money to spend, aren't a retard, and do your research before your trip.

No big city is worth traveling.

You're mentally ill. Don't come here anymore. Thanks.

It's so sad watching old structures. Humans truly became nothing

Here’s the thing, I DID like it

I’m just trying to make sure my enjoyment was correct or not

But everyone here is right, I’m overthinking this

In Italy I saw more sandniggers crashing out about allah and jeet men walking around in crowds pretending to be tough guys in Verona than anywhere else by far
