That's all it would take.One extremist president and our lives would be completely different within 3 months. All you have to do is disenfrachise brown people, create a program to help them leave our country, arrest the ones who refuse to leave, and it would be over. 90% of them would leave, and the rest would be living in either concentration camps or sewers underground for the rest of their lives. We wouldn't even know they were there.
The president isn't an absolute monarch who can just unilaterally decide to do something that dramatic. You would need to basically overthrow the existing government
