The 'migrant crisis' only happened because politicians chose to supply the logistics and infrastructure to facilitate migrant travel. You can't actually walk from Syria to Europe or cross the Mediterranean with a liferaft.
Every migrant crisis in continental Africa is resolved by putting a large camp close to the conflict and then shipping food and shelter there.
