How many jobs have you lost out on because you’re a white man?For me, I would guess around 20. With veterans preference points in my state and my experience, I can think of at least 20 government jobs that it should have been nearly mathematically impossible for me not to get. Naturally many of the managers were either POC or female. Really the only job I’ve ever got from an interview was with the army during two ongoing wars. Eventually I got tired of applying and just started my own businesses. In hindsight, this has been much better than being chained to a desk 50 hours a week for $90k a year. Still, I feel bad for all the people who have been unfairly demoralized. But always remember - we can start businesses and create things, they cannot. They can only suckle off the tit of an employer.
