Albert Speer knew that and wanted Germany to adopt US mass-production methods, standardization, and industrial engineering principles. But they didn't and because nothing was standardized between the different manufacturers there were massive problems with the German war machine. Hell when Speer became Minister of Armaments in 1942 he attempted to change how Germany produced things by copying what the US was doing which actually increased output, such as taking away control of production away from the government and handing back to the industrialists who ran the plants.
