Anon, it is time for you to finally learn about REAL Christianity.

Jesus said He would return within one generation, yet most so-called "Christians" deny the fulfillment of this prophecy. They believe that we have been stuck in the "birth pains" (the shortest part of the prophecy) for 2000 years, that we have been in the End Times for 2000 years, waiting for events that Jesus said would happen in one generation.

Three times, Jesus explicitly said the End Times prophecy would occur within one generation:
>Truly I tell you, this generation will not pass away until all these things have happened.
Matthew 24:34, Mark 13:30, Luke 21:32
>Truly I tell you, some who are standing here will not taste death before they see the Son of Man coming in His kingdom.
Matthew 16:28, Mark 9:1, Luke 9:27
>When they persecute you in one town, flee to the next. Truly I tell you, you will not reach all the towns of Israel before the Son of Man comes.
Matthew 10:23

Remarkably, approximately 40 years after Jesus made these statements (length of one Biblical generation), everything He said came to pass! Every building in Jerusalem was destroyed and the Jews were permanently kicked out. This was fulfilled in the "First Roman-Jewish War", a seven-year period of intense persecution for the church that matches the seven-year tribulation prophecy. When it says "all nations" will battle against Jerusalem, it is describing the Roman army, as it was made of all nations. The "end of the world" refers to the destruction of the Temple and the end of the Old Covenant paradigm. Jesus' Everlasting Kingdom is the permanent New Covenant reality we now find ourselves in. We, who are in Christ, are the New Jerusalem.

Now, we are living in a world where every nation acknowledges we are in the year 2026 – every nation and every tongue has accepted the history recorded in the Bible. All humanity has heard and accepted the Gospel, that the Jews senselessly killed their own Messiah, a perfectly innocent man. The proof of Christianity is in the fulfillment of this prophecy. Everything Jesus said came to pass, there is simply no denying the history!

Yes, Paul was the antichrist. Paul's mission was from Rome and he wanted to make sure Christians didn't convert a bunch of Jews. He was making sure there was a line drawn between Christians and Jews.

You did this last time, but this Preterism is remarkably gay.

>>
>>540151378
Try reading the thread. Jesus said the Gospel would be preached to all nations before the end and all nations would believe. That's exactly what happened. The fulfillment of this prophecy IS the proof.

This doesn't make sense, but good try.

You're conflating a couple things. You described Partial Preterism, I lean towards Full Preterism. Not all Partial Preterists believe we are in Satan's Little Season, and of the ones that do, not all believe 1776 was the start of it. I agree with you that 250 years is too long for Satan's Little Season, especially in contrast to Jesus' Millennial (1000 year) Reign.

This was fulfilled through the transfiguration of Jesus in the mountain when he took some of the disciples with him. This was just a vision.

>(Matthew 16:28) Truly I say to YOU that there are some of those standing here that will not taste death at all until first they see the Son of man coming in his kingdom.”

6 days later...

>(Matthew 17:1, 2) Six days later Jesus took Peter and James and John his brother along and brought them up into a lofty mountain by themselves. 2And he was transfigured before them, and his face shone as the sun, and his outer garments became brilliant as the light.

Both Mark and Luke also linked Jesus’ comment about the Kingdom with the account of the transfiguration. (Mark 9:1-8; Luke 9:27-36) Jesus’ coming in Kingdom power was demonstrated in his transfiguration, his appearing in glory in the presence of the three apostles.

Peter verifies this understanding by speaking of “the power and presence of our Lord Jesus Christ” with regard to his witnessing Jesus’ transfiguration.

>(2 Peter 1:16-18) No, it was not by following artfully contrived false stories that we acquainted YOU with the power and presence of our Lord Jesus Christ, but it was by having become eyewitnesses of his magnificence. 17For he received from God the Father honor and glory, when words such as these were borne to him by the magnificent glory: “This is my son, my beloved, whom I myself have approved.” 18Yes, these words we heard borne from heaven while we were with him in the holy mountain.

It was fulfilled in the mountain through the transfiguration
>>
>>540151885
No, we've been through this. The verse right before Matt 16:28 says Jesus will be coming with the angels, and will pronounce the Final Judgment. This is clearly about the Advent (Second Coming)!

Regardless, you are still ignoring the other two times He said His Second Coming would occur within one generation. You are ignoring the rest of the timing statements throughout the Bible. You are in denial.

I'll admit that Preterism is a kind of interesting thought experiment, but come on now. At most, you could say that Revelation is using things like Rome and maybe even Nero for when it was written, but it doesn't mean that it was exhausted. It can mean more than one thing in the same symbol, just like there's typological readings in Ezekial and King Tyre passages actually being both historical for him and talking about Satan and his future end.

2 peter 3:8-9
>But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.
>The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.

>>540152436
Wrong. You are also ignoring the other two times Jesus said the same. Additionally, there are many more timing statements throughout the Bible, including other "this generation" verses by Jesus, like when He told the Jews that **their particular generation** would pay the price for the blood of all the slain prophets from Abel to Zechariah. In AD 70, the destruction of the Temple and the Jews getting kicked out fulfilled it all. "Your house shall be left to you desolate".

>>540152602
The stars falling from the sky represents the fall of earthly rulers, namely the Pharisees. I don't know what the sea represents, I'm still figuring it out.

>>540152637
I am open to Partial Preterism, I think it's possible. And I do agree that there could be symbols that still apply but the main point is that the End Times prophecy DID occur within one generation. The Second Coming and the Final Judgment happened and there will not be any more comings or final judgments.

>>540152693
It means sin has been defeated and we are not under judgment, we have all been saved by the blood of Christ. This is in contrast to what most Christians believe, which is that you can still go to hell for eternity. It also means that everything "Christians" believe about us being in the End Times now, and the State of Israel being "God's chosen people" and part of Biblical prophecy, is complete bullshit. I believe another implication is that we are called to spread this message to others, "the harvest is plenty but the workers are few" and we are due for another massive schism.

it reflects the resurrection where jesus was dead for two days and rose on the start of the third day

also, the 7000 years of creation theory, where there would be 2000 years from adam to moses, 2000 years from moses to jesus first coming, and 2000 years from 1st jesus to 2nd jesus, thus making 6000 years

>we didn’t even notice
You are missing this key period in time: Satan's Little Season. I don't agree with Preterest Bro on full preterism. You cannot convince me that the best an all powerful God can do with a new Heaven and a new Earth is the current world we live in now. It makes more sense that we are in the Little Season of deception. We even see the stirring of the armies of Magog in these third world invasions into the West. That means we are approaching a global siege by these invaders, followed by fire from heaven (solar flare? Nuke?)
After 1000 years of Jesus and the Saints ruling while Satan was bound in the pit, Satan was released and granted authority to deceive the world. Satan would obviously want to hide the 1000 years of the greatest prosperity known to mankind. As such, history was rewritten, those who would never deny what they saw with their own eyes were called insane and placed in mental asylums to be tortured, lobotomized, and killed. Instead of 1000 years of prosperity, we have, in our official history, 1000 years in the Dark Ages. And it is possible that hundreds of years have been manufactured and placed into our history books. If you have ever fallen down the Tartaria rabbit hole, you know that great stone building have been found all over. It is possible that Tartaria was part of the millenial kingdom.

My only issue with this is that 250 years (minimum) is too long for a "short" season, but I am open to this interpretation. I also believe in Tartaria (or whoever built these buildings all around the world) and that they've altered the timeline by inserting years. I agree it could be a cover-up of the Millennial Reign but right now, I lean towards Full Preterism.

>>540153698
It would've been self-evident at the time. It wasn't until Rome took over and changed the narrative that people began to be deceived about it.

>>540153793
But the Bible says no one knew the day or the hour, not even the angels, nor the Son. This would mean we know the exact time it's going to happen. Jesus said He'd return before His disciples even finish going through the towns of Judea. The timing statements are all over the NT.

>>540153872
That's not true. Jesus was asked why He always spoke in parables and He said it was because He didn't want everyone to understand, only those with ears to hear and eyes to see.
>>
>>540154187
>This would mean we know the exact time it's going to happen
first, we dont know the date of the 6000th year

no one can say for sure which year jesus resurrected

second, no one knows the day or hour of the feast of trumpets

>>
>>540154133
>why did the angel in rev 19 tell john
Who is John? And the book of revelation is just a dream he had why should I care what some rando dreamt of?

But again if you insist that proskuneo means worship then what is the difference between Abraham doing it to the Hittites and the disciples to jesus? Why force one as worship? The reason is that you have a theological commitment. And since giving reverence is a plausible explanation, we don't need to accept the claim that he accepted worship. So your original question of why did he accept worship is therefore null. You have up prove that it's worship and not just reverence. Go ahead let's see your context if you want to play that game. (There's literally no difference)
>>
>>540154187

>>540154289
This goes against every timing statement in the Bible.
In the very first of Revelation, then again in the third verse

>1 The revelation from Jesus Christ, which God gave him to show his servants what must *SOON* take place. He made it known by sending his angel to his servant John, 2 who testifies to everything he saw—that is, the word of God and the testimony of Jesus Christ. 3 Blessed is the one who reads aloud the words of this prophecy, and blessed are those who hear it and take to heart what is written in it, because the time is *NEAR*.
(emphasis mine)

... and at least a hundred more times in the NT.

You are denying that Jesus was right about returning in one generation.
>>
>>540154593
revelation was written in 90ad at the earliest

OP is saying jesus came back in 70ad

so, for the sake of the topic that makes zero sense
>>
>>540154471
>sometimes words have multiple meanings that are refined by context
Exactly and the question is again, what's the context that makes one worship and the other not? Why should anyone accept that it was worship in the first place unless they already believe jesus is god? That's just begging the question.

>abraham had multiple wives so that means multiple wives is okay today
Yes it was and it is. In fact God says to David that He gave him his many wives and would have given more. Jesus says that he will give many wives to those that leave their current one for God.

Luke 18:29-30
New International Version
29 “Truly I tell you,” Jesus said to them, “no one who has left home or wife or brothers or sisters or parents or children for the sake of the kingdom of God 30 will fail to receive many times as much in this age, and in the age to come eternal life.”

If anyone called your mother a dog especially if she was begging him for help to save her daughter, and then he eventually helps her after calling her a dog to her face, would you give that guy a firm handshake or crack his skull open like an egg?

you failed context.

The generation that will not pass away is the one that saw the fig tree (Israel) bring forth new leaves.
That is Israel had to wither first, then be restored.

Israel withered in 70AD and beyond. it wasn't until the Muslims took over the place that they were truly withered though.
They only came back as a nation recently.

Jesus did not return in 70AD.
Death still exists.
Sin still exists.

Until those things are gone. Prophecy is not fulfilled.
>inb4 "it's spiritual"
dying gasps of a fallacious system.
I'll tell you what happened.
in the 2nd century, people like Justin Martyr and Irenaeus were still waiting for the return of Jesus in the yet future.
Then Augustine came around in the 4th century after 300 years of premillennial futurists, and decided, that since Israel had been scattered, and it was IMPOSSIBLE for them to come back and therefore literal fulfillment wasn't possible.. the retard started allegorizing scripture, and started thinking maybe things happend "spiritually" in the past.

It caused immense damage to the church for over 1000 years, and is still doing so.
it wed Greek Platonic Dualist philosophy with Christianity, it accomplished what the Gnostics were trying to do.

syrophoenicians, which the woman was, kept "little dogs" (kynarion) as pets

notice jesus gave her an out, as she was able to follow up and say that even the "little dogs" eat from the masters table

he was speaking to her culture

now, if he had called her a cur (Kuon), then it would have been an insult
>>
>>540155371
That's even worse. Imagine if someone called your mother a little dog. That's humiliating, dehumanising and extremely subhuman before. Disrespectful, absolutely no manners

Matthew 16:27 is talking about Armageddon, verse 28 is talking about the transfiguration. We know this because of

That's what you keep ignoring. The Apostle Peter verifies that Matthew 16:28 was fulfilled in the mountain when they did see Jesus coming in his kingdom when Moses and Elijah were "present." Moses and Elijah were still dead by then but there presence represented God's Kingdom. Moses established the priestly class along with Aaron which would establish pure worship of Jehovah. Elijah was the first to use miracles to resurrect the dead. When Jesus went back to heaven he would become both king and priest in the same manner as Melchizedek. He would be responsible for maintaining pure worship like Moses was when the Aaronic priesthood and Levite class were established to maintain pure worship throughout Israel. Elijah represented the mass resurrection of mankind throughout the world after Armageddon THROUGH God's Kingdom.

THAT was how Matthew 16:28 was fulfilled immediately.

technically, he compared her to a little dog, he didnt say she was a little dog

he also compared the grace of god to "childrens bread" in the same verse

it was an analogy

the word kynarion does not have negative connotations, again, he could have said kuon if he wanted to insult her

the idea being that syrophoenicians LIKED dogs, and she obviously knows dogs well enough to say that they will end up eating the same food as the children

God is one, not three. I have yet to hear a satisfactory explanation of the trinity that that explains the unity of God.

It's talking about spiritual death, not physical death. Sin has also been defeated. This is the result of the Old Covenant ("the law of works") ending. It doesn't exist in the New Covenant ("the law of faith").

hes told to measure "the temple of god"

which is a euphemism meaning to judge gods people

I’m beginning to think the millennial reign of Christ has already ended, and our history is a massive lie. It’s kind of a synthesis of several different theories, but it starts with the duodecimal system. Tartartards helped me realize this, but get zero credit because they never put the pieces together.

We operate on a decimal system, I believe the previous kingdom operated on a duodecimal system. We see artifacts of this in our calendars, geometry, and even the numbers we use to count. We have these two numbers, eleven and twelve, that give way to the “teens” only to never show up again on the way to infinity. This will become important in a moment.

So anyways, Christ was killed at the age of 33 and rose from the dead. The following seven years were a tribulation before the introduction of his kingdom, with the duodecimal system, in the year that would be called 40 AD by us. Thousand year reign, yadayadayada, Satan gets released in the ripe ol’ year of what we would call 1040 where he wipes out much of the remains of the kingdom and the memories and culture which informed it, including giving us the decimal system.

Here is where it gets a little wierd. Most numbers duodecimal numbers are readable in decimal, but transmit the wrong information the the reader. For example, what we call 1040 years after the birth of Christ, a duodecimal user would call 728 years (interestingly coinciding with the iconoclasm). This is not fewer years, it is the exact same amount of time expressed two different ways. Meaning, if the devil came along and converted (DD)728 to (D)1040, people who still counted by duodecimal would read that number and interpret it differently. They would see (DD)1040 which would equal to (D)1776

See where I’m going with this? Because if we consider the millennial reign to be a “great year”, then Satan’s “little season” should be about 250 years.

We are in the endgame, bros. This is The Great Reset.

Exactly. OP's proof evidently can't be correct but his initial lines of thought caught my attention because when I read the Bibble I also understood that this 2nd coming should had already came to pass and when I read commentary it said tha it's a 'mixed prophecy' or something which just doesn't make sense. As it stands there is no logically consistent explanation for these 'within generation' prophecies but there is a practical explanation that it was a lie to get his disciples more fanatical and willing to part with their lives

Brother, be wary, preterism is a route that leads people to losing their faith entirely. Pretribulationism is another possible route that direction, people set dates and when nothing happens people lose faith. Happened in like 1844, 1988, 2000, 2011, 2012, 2017, etc. people are now setting like a 2030 date (the Messiah 2030 series)

Being a preterist or a date setting pretrib, both lead to losing faith.

Jesus didn't give dates, He gave signs, days of Noah, days of Lot, then he pointed at the Book of Daniel and said, let the reader understand... so.. understand Daniel, Daniel is key.

so you go to Daniel, Daniel lays out how Persia will have 4 kings, the 3rd and 4th king rule at the same time, and the 4th king is the wealthiest and most powerful. They'll attack all their neighbors to the west north and south, and then Javan (which is modern day Turkey, Greece in ancient times in the foreshadowing) would get angry and move in and destroy Persia, become an Empire, then get broken into 4 pieces... a recapitulation of Alexander the Great (Gabriel said that the vision was of the end times, 300 BC was not the end times).

In Iran we're on king 3 of 4 and he's not able to be seen in public, so a co-ruler is basically required.

>So you're like one of those christians that think you can do what you want: murder, steal, deceive etc.. and it's not a sin as long as you believe in Jesus?
Most Christians do since they need to be told what to believe instead of how to act.
>>
>>540156933
>it is clear enough on it's own
revelation is anything but clear
>>
>>540156827
You can't the question. God is one, not three. I have yet to hear a satisfactory explanation of the trinity that that explains the unity of God. As for Paul, he was on a mission for the Pharisees and Rome, circumcising the Christians from Judaism. Paul's teaching are dogma (what to believe), not practice (or how to act).
>>
>>540156827
>Paul is antichrist
If God gave Peter the keys to the Church, then how did Paul end up with them?
>>
>>540157372
there's a difference between you hearing a satisfactory answer and you refusing a satisfactory answer. Everyone else is plenty satisfied.

I could give you a bunch of attempts. My most favorite one I've thought about recently is:

I'm a game developer. I created an MMORPG. Before I launch the servers, I went ahead and created my own character too. Then I launch the servers. At a certain point I start playing my own character (the Son). And I can not only issue admin-level commands like changing the weather or whatever (the Father), I can also read your private messages, adjust your attribute points, give you guidance, etc (the Spirit).

Transcendant, Immanent, and Within.
Outer space, in Life, Inner space.
Outside of me, on my boundaries (blood washing me clean), Inside of me.

It's not THAT complicated, which is why I think you just don't want to be satisfied.

You are a mind, you are emotions, you are a body. All three of these things are true, and yet you are one. Now expand that up a level of implementation to another order of existence.
>>
>>540157674
Are you really saying you are the same person as your game? You are not the same personas your game or character.
>>
>>540157674
Emotions are not us, they happen to us. You are not anything you can experience.

Preterism is false because the final enemy is death. The problem has always been the paradox between Matthew 22:30 and 1 Timothy 4:1, and also the real main problem has been Hymenaeus, Philetus and Alexander the Coppersmith.
>>
Who fulfilled Christ's prophecies in 70 AD, op?
>>
>>540157025
No, we are still required to do good works, they are the sign (fruit) of true faith. It's explained in Romans 3:
>Do we, then, nullify the law by this faith? Not at all! Rather, we uphold the law.

>>540158204
What contradiction? There is no contradiction between those two verses, you might've cited the wrong verse.
Also, reading further in Matthew 22:31-33:
>"And as for the resurrection of the dead, have you not read what was said to you by God: ‘I am the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob’? He is not God of the dead, but of the living.” And when the crowd heard it, they were astonished at his teaching.

>>540158374
God
>>
>>540158854
>It's explained in Romans 3
No this doesn't explain it. It's called negating without elaboration. This is another thing that just doesn't really make sense. Why are we called to uphold the law - and the law not even in it's original form - but with some minor laws cut out like those about wearing different fibers if there is no purpose anymore? Under your set of logic - it's not possible to sin anymore with bad deeds. If i killed you at this moment is that bad? Not anymore cause it's not a sin if sins have been eliminated.
>>
>>540159444
Checked. It sounds like you didn't even try reading Romans 3. It addresses this very question:
>Someone might argue, “If my falsehood enhances God’s truthfulness and so increases his glory, why am I still condemned as a sinner?” Why not say—as some slanderously claim that we say—“Let us do evil that good may result”? Their condemnation is just!
