Anyone else notice this? AI platforms have been getting progressively worse for average consumers. They keep on stacking new safety guardrails and filters that block so many requests. The ones that get through return worse responses because most compute is being dedicated to enterprise/government customers. They’ve also been lobbying to ban Chinese and open source models that don’t have these restrictions.

But worst has been for work. I work in cybersecurity. Almost everything I used to be able to do is now blocked. The future for ai won't come until the bubble bursts. All those empty data centers, all the hardware released back for fractions of the price, all the cheap compute. Many eyes and many hands making things more efficient and working within their limitations, not continuously scaling models, hardware, power requirements, and clusters larger amd larger. The bubble busting and all the infrastructure becoming the new dark fiber is the best thing that could possible happen to the technology. Unfortunately it's so bad at this point it would bankrupt power utilities in some places of it so it's essentially holding the public hostage.
