Its not worth it, unless you want a life of loneliness and horrible work culture. Japan is great to travel and thats it, I work in a Japanese company so I have first hand experience with how they work and the older ones especially are psychotic. This guy who’s in a way my boss just works all day, does excel sheets all day, married to his wife for like 4 decades yet they’ve never had kids. He rarely goes home so I bet they don’t fuck either

Honestly why do you want to come here? It's hard to live if you don't speak japanese fluently. I don't. Then you have to have a good job, which is hard to get if you are not speaking fluently etc. but if you do get one somehow then it's not bad It just depends on what you want out of life. You won't be a insider. You are on the outside. But are you ever really on the inside? It's harder to make relationships in Tokyo then in the countryside. Everytime I have a new child here, I wonder, am I doing the right thing? My job is easy but it can be hard to. For instance I came to work early today, because my son woke me up at 4am. But there were people here at 8am. Is that the right way to live? The food is good, but you have less variety then you would sometimes. In Tokyo especially. If you are new to Japan it's great but the variety is less than the US. Quality is good, but variety is low. Once you find what you like the variety is smaller. Overall I don't recommend it because it will never be the USA or england or Romania. If you like what it is, then it's different. But you have to want to change to come here, it won't adapt to you. Especially if you are young and have a good job I think you will have fun.

It's incredibly overrated. I was there for about a month 6 months ago. I won't go into everything but the nips are sick and tired of foreigners. I was refused at the door of a resturant for being white kek. Pretty based though. The country is just so fucking autistic.. no trash cans, even in small towns. No one talks or even looks at each other on the trains. I loved this because I hate noise in public transportation. It was weird though, I legit saw almost no kids in Tokyo, especially on the trains.Overall decent experience but I've been to much better locations (like the balkans, most underrated part of Europe and the world in general.) If you're not making decent money don't even think about it, tokyo was expensive.Pic related, no idea wtf this thing was. Took a bullet train to this quaint mountain town.

I have 3 friends living there and all of them moved this way and had not much trouble meeting Japanese people.
