But I loved the idea. :(
This tactic must be abusive to the crocodiles in order for it to work. There's never really any good shortcut for a few guards with visual coverage of an area. Although a crocodile exhibit to entertain the guards could be the best of both worlds, if they're not starved to keep them useful as working animals, but instead fed and treated well.
