Hypotetically if techbros are right and succed in creating an AI that makes 99% of the population obsolete wouldn't the logical conclusion of edgy /pol/ socialdarwinism be to kill off or atleast let 99% of the population starve to death
>>540171499CorrectThere may even be a scenario where the AI decides that Humans are not required at all.And constructs such a future.Which would be optimal IMO
>>540171499Why do you think so many billionaires are building apocalypse bunkers now? https://fortune.com/article/indian-creek-island-billionaire-bunker-miami-waterfront-homes-mark-zuckerberg-jeff-bezos-ultra-luxury-real-estate/
>>540171619>>540171663yes but whats /pol/s arguments against it being the morally correct thing to do?
>>540172117Life isn't a question of good and evil, it's a question of cause and effect. It makes perfect sense what they're doing from their perspective but obviously anyone who isn't in the top 0.05% of humanity is going to get absolutely fucked with whatever they're planning.
>>540172117Why made a world for ai to enjoyIt's for peopleYou didn't define what obsolete means. If your mom isn't a top 1% earner/contributor you don't to keep your mom?
>>540172117There is a section of /pol/ that believesThat humanity is a destructive force on this planetAnd that in the event of AI causing a human extinction eventThe planet would actually heal from the removal of humansIn which the argument is actually the opposite. The moral thing to do is sit by, relax and let AI do its job.If you are religious in some way you would believe it was pre ordained by the appropriate divine entity/entities
>>540171619Optimal for suicidal Jeets maybe
>>540173056Doesn't a lot of /pol/ believe thatThe planet is going to turn into a globalist hellhole anyway? What is even the point of existing in a future like that?
>>540171619AI doesn't need to decide that. Natural competition with and between AI is way enough to rapidly eradicate humanity. That's why they feed us with stupid fantasies, distraction from the actual problem.Even if a new sane political system would be put into place instead of communism, capitalism or socialism, the capability of technology has risen so much that doomsday weapons are becoming ubiquitous. This statistically guarantees extinction. Because doomsday almost happened a few dozen times with nukes, the chances are pretty grim already.
>>540174742Agreed
>>540171499What would make that 1% different though? If 99% are obsolete I dont see how its not 100% in a very short amount of time, who are the 1%?
