India is going to quickly run out of food and water. The Ganges is drying up and what water there is is so polluted that it cannot sustain life. They suffocate on the world's worst pollution in all major cities every year. They still have debt slaves working in brick yards and garbage dumps like it's 1750. In their factories, they still use line shafts and have people working by hand with no PPE like it's 1850. They have no effective rule of law and cannot/will not punish criminal behavior or enforce contracts, meaning outside nations are taking a huge risk trying to work with them. Much of their population are subsistence farmers who are completely dependent on unsustainable practices and artificial fertilizer, and they are financially ruined if the market price of onions fluctuates by a few cents. India will be lucky to not fracture back into warring states in the next 50 years. There will be no East Asian style economic miracle.
