Latvian government claims there is a "shortage of skilled workers, hence we must import immigrants"...

I am now crawling local job boards and then doing excel filtering to output something that I could do.

Now I am so desperate that I think I will develop mass apply script that sends out to every single one ad my application.
In this entire country there are only 240 job ads.... There are not many options.

As I said before, you are now self employed, like everyone who is not rich, or receptacle in a corruption system like medicine, green energy, or HR adult daycare.
Your job is to find ways to let money flow into your business, and spend less than that. Marketing is way more important than a good product, like ten times. Build connections into the government so they waste taxes on you. Always think quid pro quo.
This is doable now due to AI, it can plan all your shit, even execute much of it. There is no advantage in being part of a company where they don't give you a decent cut. Normal wagies don't get a decent cut anymore, as AI is better, so there is always a surplus of wagie biomass.
>>
How corrupt is Latvia? (Based, corruption is based if you can exploit it). My grandma died 6 years ago and her pension is still giving me money every month. I don't ever need a job, and I inherited a big house. Life is fucking great. But you joined the gayropean union so I guess they filtered out corruption?

1 Let AI search for this, it can do deep market research for hours to identify gaps. Step by step. Make AI work for you, it can do a lot.
2 A guy I knew got a horse trainer license to hang with the local bureaucrat royalty. You can find things about people on the net, some award given, stuff like that. AI can find where they hang out.
3 I know the difference between media narratives and reality is frustrating. I am an old man, and I have never seen such extreme differences than in the last ten years. Public political lies, mostly for foreign policy, but not on that deep level, not since red Europe, when I was a kid. They pretend that the reality of people is X, while it is the opposite. In particular the job market, inflation and housing, all completely fictional by now, all across the West. I do not know how this will resolve, the system seems hellbent on admitting nothing, at all cost.

That chick is a recruiter
The ONLY person that hires at any tech company is the hiring manager. HR doesn't matter, recruiters don't matter, even the guys interviewing you if they are not the hiring manager they don't matter either. You can easily find these ppl on social media and you send them a portfolio of whatever it is you do before they are even hiring because eventually they will and oh hey there's this guy doing exactly what we need

Ukrainians gets gibs for like 9 months or so. If during that time, they do not find a job, then they either return back to Ukraine, or move to another country. They have some alternative status, not refugee status though.

Refugees which await decision on will they be allowed to stay or not (as some jeets, which were allowed in for "humanitarian reasons"), they get gibs 90 eur/month. And as much I know, they are not allowed to work, because their residency status remains unclear.

You can frequently met some ukrainians who work like in thrift stores, or as helpers for some plumbers. Generally low paid job (it is hard to get well paid job outside of IT, without latvian language knowledge). Apparently they feel comfortable-ish here, and that low salary for them is not as big obstacle.
For others, they are looking for "greener pastures". Moving to Switzerland was somehow popular.

Either way, it kinda works for us. Either they become somehow valuable for society, and can sustain themselves, or they become someone else problem.

There still is a bit mystery about it, but likely he will keep it to his grave.

LMFAO

There was a russian here in latgale arrested for this and deported to the USA recently.
You will eventually get caught. You must be stupid if you think you won't.

SIM cartel in riga was also shut down similarly.

Its 2026 American capitalism, you must be born as a woman and go to dubai for "vacation" and earn 5k sucking cocks or start onlyfans. If you are a man in 2026 and not born in some politician family its over for 80%

>There was a russian here in latgale arrested for this and deported to the USA recently.

Case, when SWAT team jumped from roots, to get in trough windows in Zolitūde? It was years ago.

Also, in Latgale, there was another "hacker" known as Peteris Suharovs. Who was among "Top 10 cyber criminals wanted by FBI". With bounty like 50k USD. Local police got wind of it, went to embassy. Something did not worked out. Either budget was not allocated, or was overspent.
Peteris previously was working as sysadmin in local ISP. Apparently lost his job because of that "wanted by FBI" thing. When police lost interest about him, went to pick mushrooms in Ireland.

I quit going to work after I realized 90% of the time I'm just wasting my time doing pointless shit nobody cares about and not getting ahead in life.
I worked there a lot over the past 12 years and the wagie community was a major factor in my decision to not work anymore. NEETs did it to an extent as well but WAGIES are far worse.
Someone could give a long drawn out and factually accurate explanation of what would have to happen for me to even be able to one day buy a home and have a family and why working was fraudulent. The post would get a dozen responses of
>WHY SHOULD YOU EAT?
>when you know you know
>economic collapse is coming
>stack metals the end is nigh
>keep waging faggot
>100% eoy silver will reach 5k an ounce
Or some equally long schizo post explaining numerology, using bible scripture and random posts here explaining how by the end of the year billions will be unemployed because of the AI.
Here we are.
After seeing the nothingburger today I came here just to watch the seething and suicide letters. It’s beyond EOY, the jobs didn't disappear, the banks didn't collapse (unfortunately), no more use cases and all the dirty laundry is out in the air now.
It’s not going to be Millennial's Economic Paradise, it will not be the Roaring 20's all over again. The world will not be descending into hyper deflation and prosperity (as was obsessed over for months/years) it will be going on as usual with no major gains or rewards.
I will enjoy watching wagies burn every step along the way.
Why?
Because those fucking idiots deserve it all.

If you remember that one, you are prob older than I thought.

But it's way newer, last or this year news dropped. Can't find it.

a.k.a invoice fraud.

Bulgaria also mentioned here together with Latvia:

>Investigation Water into Wine: 11 arrests as probe into international criminal organisation suspected of multi-million-euro VAT fraud involving sales of diesel expands
https://www.eppo.europa.eu/media/news/investigation-water-wine-11-arrests-probe-international-criminal-organisation-suspected-multi-2026-06-29_en

But not the same story I think about. Usually there's news on justice.gov about deportations from Latvia to USA.

Here we do not have NEET gibs. You can kinda become "freelance bottle collector" and try to get some living by collecting PET bottles for recycling.

In city where I live, every winter around 50 hobos freeze to death. So life expectancy among hobos are not very high.

Maybe it was my mistake and it was lithuanian with company registered in latvia.

He scammed money out of google and facebook by changing a few letters in company name so it resembles a similar one they already made deals with.

>"Rimašausks izstrādāja nekaunīgu shēmu, lai ASV kompānijām izkrāptu vairāk nekā 120 miljonus ASV dolāru un tad šos līdzekļus ieplūdinātu bankas kontos visā pasaulē. Rimašausks šo (..) zādzību veica no otras pasaules malas, bet cietumsods viņam piespriests tieši šeit, Manhetenas federālajā tiesā," paziņoja prokurors Džefrijs Bermans.
https://nra.lv/latvija/300290-lietuvietis-izkrapj-105-miljonus-eiro-no-google-un-facebook-izmantojot-uznemumu-latvija.htm

But there probably is another one more recently in Latgale.
>>
>>540198882
As much I remember, in Latgale was closed one scammer call center node in 2025, and another this year.

Did not knew about this case where lithuanian did fraud, too. Thanks.

I did that but you need to also explain, it's not enough that you just put "self-employed" without any information what you did at that job.

Yeah just make something up. You made your buddy something or other blah blah blah; he can stand in in for two dozen other imaginary clients. Anything you did in that time can be imagined as a "business"
>>
>>540200576
>>540200845
You can also claim you worked at companies that are now out of business.
Or just make up a fake company. All you really need is a website.
Or say you were a consultant.
>>
>>540201639
Consultants have been vaporware for decades; they're basically NEETs
>>
>>540201639
It's more difficult in Europe. There are centralized databases for everything. And background checks, etc. You are basically blacklisted from society if you get caught somehow in your lies.

It's different and more relaxed in the US. You can just change a state and start a new life.
>>
>>540201691
>Consultants

In Europe they are called freelancers. IDK why Americans always use that Consultant wording...
>>
>>540201862
Literally if you helped your buddy change his car tire, or you made him a cup of coffee, you can say you were doing freelance auto repair, or freelance beverage service. Do you think when your country was communist all economic activity was reported to the Comintern?

don't try to optimize this stuff. the job application portals specifically detect automation and will blackhole your resume, IP address, and browser fingerprint.
use Playwright and ideally connect it to a real version of Chrome on your machine, in headed mode. add random timing jitter, mouse movement, etc.
Most websites use something like FullStory to record your entire user session including all input and scroll events. if it detects for example that your cursor snapped to a UI element without moving there like a real user, you will be silently blacklisted.

We have one centralized portal for job ads cv.lv (you can apply with 3 clicks, there are sometimes input boxes if they want more info from you).
Only like 1/3rd of ads are posted on 3rd party ATS sites that I mentioned previously.

Now that you say this, I think if I go with this I'm gonna make a different function in my py script for several different ATS to add your mentioned jitter, timing, etc tricking features.

>FullStory
That's a third party site I see. I can just block their scripts from loading, no?

I checked.

empty 99
iframe_empty 5
iframe_ok 60
image 157
text 312

Majority are either text of infograph style image that I send to Baidu China for OCR (they have a generous 20k processing limit).

60 are iframes from third party sites embedded in cv.lv job ad page.
I guess "empty" are also third party sites that didn't fetch at all in my csv output. So that's about 160 third party sites.

It's same here. 4 years and still jobless. Got decent degree, as well, but it's impossible to get proper jobs unless you want to work for peanuts and hang around Russians and Ukrainians who get paid like shit and work extra.
>>540197156
You don't. People in smaller countries catch up to this fast, and especially in Europe where they do thorough background checks. There were several people here as well who got caught and blacklisted for fraud. If you do this shit you will be perma jobless.

Also, law enforcement are cooperating across the entire Europe way closer than in the US due to everything being so centralized.

In the US it's just early stages of centralization - Flock, Palantir data gathering harvesting is just the beginning. There will be tons of more companies because it's third party doing this not government agencies.

Information spreads fast here. Even Sweden can do background checks for people that apply from the EU because they have some kind of law that allows to bypass GDPR laws when getting info from EU citizens. It's a legal right or something in Sweden to obtain this info for background check companies..

Bullshit, I ran 30+ interviews for single role for my current company. HR was for initial filtering, so it did matter, but in small amount. Hiring Manager didn't matter at all. All matter on how I run the interview, who I allowed to attend the technicals and on my impressions of candidates.

Also I dismissed a hell lot of candidates based on shitty resumes, typos or styling. Because if you can't do attention details on your resume, then you can't do shit in work. Cruel, but details are important.

nothing dismiss candidates faster than ai fluff on resumes. If a candidate resume has 6 bullet points on his entry level position that he did shit in for 6 months or sentences like 'increased revenue by 40%', 'reduced cost by 30%', 'improved performance by 20%', then this cv goes immediately to trash
