NJ's AWB will remain in effect for now.On July 17th the 3rd circuit ruled that NJ's awb as it pertains to rifles and it's standard capacity mag bans were unconstitutional.NJ then waited until the last possible day, as always, to request a stay and to appeal it to the scotus.the 3rd circuit has granted a stay pending the scotus's action. The scotus is already taking 2 AWBs, Illinois and Connecticut. What will probably happen is that they will probably add NJ. Best case scenario is that they strike down all awbs and mag bans, worst case scenario, assuming a judge doesn't die, is that the scotus will strike down the awb, GVR the case back to the third and then NJ will appeal the mag ban again and the mag bans along with California's won't be heard and decided until like 2029.Either way, it's probably a year before NJ gets relief. You do you though, it's unlikely you are going to get raped over a law that the courts already found unconstitutional
