I almost never pay regular price for anything at the store, unless it's a mandatory buy. I almost never eat out as I love to cook, and the only frozen food I buy is ice cream and seafood. Shopping this way should be immensely expensive, but it really just isn't. Maybe whole chickens are on sale so I get two breasts to cook, braised or fried thighs, and a carcass to make stock for a chicken soup I can use leftovers to make. maybe it's b1g1 pork tendorloins, or sometimes it's hot Italian sausage. Either way, I adjust and cook meals based on it. It's not expensive, as filler carbs like beans, rice and other grains are affordable as hell. I'm just not spending that much money and I'm eating well.I should note that I do not buy soft drinks and rarely buy snacks. I just make fulfilling meals and eat leftovers.
