The story of 2026 is that it blows. Maduro raid, totalfail of chink/russian Iranian air defense, Iranian drones hitting US bases, totalfail of Russian air defense ongoing...
(vid is of AA over a Russian refinery showing the fail in action)

All AA is trash against drones. Very pretty tho.

I asked why faggot. The point of this thread was asking why, not if.
>>
Iran can make shaheds cheaper than a used car
>>
>>540206858
What does the cheap price of a drone have to do with the inability of shells to hit it?

retard

>>540206855
Small targets are hard to hit. Miniaturization wins the day
>>
>>540206935
Many shaheds at once are hard to hit. Anti missile missiles are expensive
>>
>>540207331
drones aren't small though the thing in op has a larger radar sig than a cruise missile i bet
>>
>>540207344
there's only 1 in the video in op and they're using aa guns
>>
>>540206605
>Maduro raid
No one was operating the AA in the Miraflores compound
>>
>>540207406
how do you know this?
>>
>>540206605
Recent Turkish AAA would have hit.

Drones are obviously powerful. Oreshnik type deployment devices are neat, too.
The future is bright.

>radar sig
So you wanna shoot it down with ordnance that costs more than what you're aiming at?
>>
I'm pretty sure for the Venezuela they had guys on the ground at all of the air defense sites to disable them or take over them prior to the attack. Or they have some kind of magic weapon. Some general probably knows.

If you are friends with any people whose parents are in the military you probably can get the info

It was traitors in the guard. USIsrael sonic weaponry is still jank

The disposability that has risen in economics that China has a stranglehold on has finally reached and changed war. Cheap and easy to mass produce longish range explosive guided projectiles (drones) are taking over. Electromagnetic warfare is still too expensive and difficult to maneuver and anything that improves battery capacity all of a sudden upgrades drones as well for longer distances. War will evolve into decade long conflicts in the form of underground tunnel digging and construction equipment will be at a higher premium than tanks and missiles in the long run. Unless somebody finds a consistent out to taking out drones this is the future of warfare, a devolution of pure resources and industrial capacity for drones and shovels. You may be able to get away with robotic soldiers (small mobile weapons platforms) or a portable camouflage system to evade drones for soldiers as a means of bypassing drones. I won't list my own personal ideas and solutions to these problems however.

There's a constant battle between attack and defence. Typically the former always has the lead and it takes a while for the latter to catch-up. Missiles and now cheap drones make it very costly to have an effective missile defence system. Realistically, lasers would be the best system but they would be very expensive and require enormous power requirements.

massive corruption. It never worked, but cost hundreds of billions of dollars. you paid for it too.
