If you have Search button enabled, it's searching the web with Baidu (Chinese Google) and getting lots of Chinese language results, which is filling up the context window with Chinese and the model then answers your question Chinese.If you don't need search, you can toggle it off. It's annoying to have to reply it to write its answer in English but I've never had the issue with the search turned off. Hopefully they fix it. I think they might not have noticed this since a lot of their users are Chinese. I think all that's needed is to tweak the search tool.
