The average person isn't very intelligent. Those less intelligent people probably care less about the actual values of a particular ideology and more about what that ideology provides them. If becoming a Nazi becomes a cool and acceptable thing then you will see people embracing that. But at a certain threshold it becomes too normalized and thus people will reject it as too mainstream, so they would hop teams even if that team is directly opposed to their well-being. Just like how Nick Fuentes was wearing Epstein merchandise. He is simply riding and controlling that wave for his own benefit.
