Was America really doing fine until 1948? The government literally banned alcohol in the 20s, banned owning gold in 1933, triggered a massive banking crisis in 1929 with reckless loans backed by nothing (which has been the same ever since), invaded the south in 1861 to "save da poor blacks", and by the 1940s northern cities were already getting filled up with negroes and many race riots had been put down by the police. The jews had been in power since at least 1913, when they were heavily involved in the federal reserve's creation. So I would say by 1948 this country was already a sinking ship, and almost entirely due to the fatal mistakes of treating foreigners as equal to countrymen, treating the populace as slaves of the government, and moving away from any sense of financial responsibility.
