We did occupy it during WW2 we technically probably should have kept it but gave it back out of some idealistic idea of friendship and a cynical idea of preventing the spread of communism. But personally I believe we need it because America needs to reach it's full destiny of uniting the whole continent under the United States of North America forming a Pan-American society. While Alaska is the door to Asia, Greenland is the door to Europe and for my vision of the world we must start my new way forward here and that means preventing the Technocrat's of Europe from smothering the light I'm about to spark. Whether we have it before or after the revolution changes slightly how likely the Technocrats of Europe are to try and intervene in our war for their gay interests but regardless of what after which I will have to secure Greenland for the future of North America and our galactic outreach.
