The wild thing about Slovakia is that they have hardly any state-building traditions beyond Hungarian statehood but they simultaneously hate Hungary. Which is why their language has two words for "Hungarian": "uhorský" (Hungarian but good) and "maďarčina" (Hungarian but bad).
