The entire reason the debt is so massive is directly because of the Democratic house actions of 2006-2010 and 2018-2022 and the 25 trillion dollars spent on bailing out companies which didn't go to people at all or healthcare despite democrats having a supermajority in 2009 to institute such policies. There has never been a republican congress that voted for corporate bailouts, which have been a far more massive "gib" to big business than lowering tax rates has ever been.
