His manager and record label partner for Straight/Bizzare Records and Discreet Records was Herb COHEN and distributed through Warner Bros. After shit fell apart with Herb for his jewery. Herb used Zappa's royalties to fund a Captain Beefheart album in the mid 70's which created a rift in their friendship and lead to a lawsuit. Zappa's second manager after Cohen was Bennett GLOTZER who as originally hired to represent Zappa in a lawsuit against Warner Bros to get his master tapes of all of his recordings. Glotzer used his kikery to help Zappa win the suit and then became Zappas manager and produced (bankrolled) a few concert films for Zappa. He was in the thick of it! There was no escaping the jewery for Frank Zappa.
