That assumes that Races have no inherent differences except skin color and language though. We know that there's many genetic differences between races which affect things like IQ, which is why you cannot have a modern black country in the same way you can have a modern white country. Thus, we don't need to "work together" with many of the other races, because they would not contribute to our advancement.
