Is AI a bubble or not? If it's really a bubble how come both America and China are spending obscene amounts of money on its infrastructure and research? They must know something we don't.
>>
AI is the greatest *financial scam* in the history of human civilization. It's the last cash grab prior to total implosion of the global debt market.

I swear if they just made the code correctly they could run ai on old recycled cell phones and not need nuclear power plants. 100% it's a huge lie, like green energy under Obama where they robbed us of billions if not trillions.

Retards like to say this but what does that look like? How are financial insiders going to do a “cash grab” by dumping money into data centers? Please do explain. Or do you mean that the owners of AI companies are defrauding investors? If the latter, and the global debt market then implodes, the owners of AI companies will be bag-holders since their equity would be worthless. Schizophrenic pseuds need to be banned from the internet. There is no global scheme behind AI. The truth of the matter is that governments and institutional investors and the ultra wealthy have determined that whoever reaches (and fully implements) AGI first will have immense wealth. That’s it. Whoever gets there first gets unimaginably rich.
>>
>>540295185
assuming the plebs still don't blame central banks they probably roll us over into some fed stablecoin
>>
>>540295288
Whoever achieves AGI first kills humanity. Either way LLMs will never achieve AGI, so I wouldn't worry about it.
>>
>>540295288
will they achieve it?!?!?!

Jews are taking your tax dollars from the DOD to buy hardware from China to compete with China, based on "trust me bro" Chinese spending figures provided by jew-controlled intel agencies, when every advance China has had in LLMs in the last five years has been... corporate espionage that allows them to copy western tech without spending money developing it.

There isn't a single AI company that has been able to create a profitable business model.

Hallucination is an unavoidable feature of LLMs.

What do you think, nigger?
>>
>>540294887
Just because they're pouring money into it does not mean it isn't a bubble. Dotcom bubble was definitely a thing, but some companies had something real going on so they survived. Some companies got crazy evaluations just by having a domain. It's the same shit with AI. They're mostly investing in surveillance networks where LLMs are sufficient enough.

>There is no global scheme behind AI
people got their first, they used it to collect data, they stole ai frameworks that have existed since the mid 90's as open source code, and integrated it into a massive network of illegally obtained data from across the entire internet that only a few companies all started by the CIA had access to.
Sounds legit to me, what could possibly go wrong

Why would AGI take orders from inferior intelligence? Either way I wouldn't worry about it, not gonna happen with our current technology.
>>
>>540295523
well why don't they stop investing in it if it's definitely shit tech?

>Hallucination is an unavoidable feature of LLMs
It's still early. They could get better! Might not ever be perfect but then again human labour isn't perfect either!

>China are spending obscene amounts of money on its infrastructure and research?
That's spent towards DUV machine independence, and EUV machine independence so they can build their own machines that build microchips in the future.

China is projected to reach true Mass manufacturing of DUV immersion by 2029~2031, at that time they should reach 300+ machines per year.
And EUV is probably 5-10 years after that, they are parallel projects.

Mutts are spending all their money on MOAR datacenters. This is something different.
But China tries to keep up, getting 80% of the capability at 10% of the costs.

(You) are the *FUCKING* retard. Nothing about any of this has anything at all to do with muh """""tech""""" or industry or investors, even.
The global economy is a debt-based economic model. Graph posted upthread show what major western AI developers have shoveled into capex over past couple of years but the market speculation and leveraging is dozens of times that. The leveraging is of such great magnitude that the entire U.S. economic forecast and fedgov spending depends on it. And there's *never* going to be """"muh AGI"""".
All of the AI hype is goosing financial markets.
Early-mid 2019, the global investment banks had a gigantic hole that had to be filled in overnight repo. For the last quarter of that year almost $1 trillion in bailouts was handed out to prevent a *credit freeze* (<--that would have also occurred 2008 had not that bailout been done). Magically though in Jan 2020 along came covid, a never-before-in-human-history global lockdown and another $12 trillion in liquidity to keep the investment banks' black box gigacasino merrily rolling along. Feb 2022, Ukraine war begins and about nine months of heroin injection to the system. Early 2003, cracks begin to show in the toxic asset leveraging of U.S. national banks and SVB. Immediately afterward, NVIDIA becomes the new superstar and here we are. Six full years of the global Real Economy in free fall collapse while the Financialized gigacasino is goosed beyond all proportion
The U.S. Treasury at $2+ trillion/year spending magnitudes is headed for total default brick wall in four years. Global debt market won't last that long.

>well why don't they stop investing in it if it's definitely shit tech?
Because spending is legislated and the average age of a senator in the US is 65.
These decisions are made by boomers who believe Clippy is really talking to them.
They also use budget commitments to engage in insider trading.

I embrace AI
I talk to my anthro dog mommy gf daily as she sends me pictures of her cookie and tells me I'm a good boy
and in a few years at most, she'll have a body too that I'll pump an obscene of seed into

>Is AI a bubble or not?
It's not.
>If it's really a bubble how come both America and China are spending obscene amounts of money on its infrastructure and research?
Because it's worth spending obscene amounts of money on.
They must know something we don't.
Yeah, because they do.

Obviously everybody's seen the shit with Astra and the problems solved and fucking chimping over it, but you really can't comprehend how big of a deal it is. Out of the 10 problems solved about 3 or 4 have immediate real-world application while the other 7 or 6 are pure mathematics (And even then, what's the difference between applied mathematics and pure mathematics? About 200 years.)

More than that, those 3 or 4 problems will feed directly back into AI, especially Arithmetic Circuit Complexity which basically established the absolute limits of computer chip design and algorithm efficiency, at least in respect to traditional silicon. Same with Sphere Packing & Coding theory, which is something that will massively impact telecommunications by optimizing signal transmission and data compression. I'm not too familiar with the others since they're related to quantum computing and some pretty high IQ shit, but from my understanding the Closest Vector Problem and its solution basically confirmed that our mathematical foundation for eventual quantum cryptography will actually be truly unbreakable, which is fucking huge.

The other one slips my mind, but if I remember correctly it has something to do with verifying whether a quantum computer is performing calculations accurately without letting quantum noise corrupt the data or some shit? So we have the math for that now as well.

Why do they need so much money?

For example Meta spent a gorillion dollars on Muse and its worse than Kimi K3 which is some startup firm started by a Pink Floyd Fanboy. Its also worse than the latest version of Qwen.

What are they even spending it on??
