Random farmer in bumfuck nowhere found the biggest deposit of Tungsten known to date alongside huge deposits world-class of lithium, potash, and boron with estimated in-ground value of 3.5 trillion combined

>>540328562Nobody will mine it because it's too expensive to do anything in the US. Might as well mine asteroids.
>>540329933we kind of have to, China is restricting supply, and we need the tungsten and rare earth minerals, we found some good rare earth mineral deposits back in 2023 with the Earth MRI project, we need to develop the sites and make plants for the chemical separation of the raw ores, but it's all being fast tracked now. It's gonna create a good amount of high quality high paying jobs.
>noooo you cant mine that, we have to calibrate our satellites!
>stabilizedEziest job in the world. Now get to work patriots.
>>540328562The issue was never access to raw tungsten. The issue was mining it is toxic, and processing it into usable forms is extremely expensive and difficult. Even shaping it into slugs for bullets is hard because tungsten is brutal on machine tools. Just finding a bunch of it in the ground does nothing to alleviate the US's issues because that was not the problem.
>>540332689Do not worry, the 'New American Dynamists' are here and you should nignore their track record and keep lobbying for them to get subsidies and deals.More srsly, I am monitoring the situation and may also jump into some of the better pump and dumps you are destined for in the near-future.
>>540332689>The Railroad Valley minerals occur as dissolved salts between 1,200 and 2,800 feet underground. The company plans to recover them with solution mining, a process that pumps fluids underground to dissolve minerals before bringing them to the surface for processing.>However, this would require surface facilities covering about 80 acres, eliminating the need for large open pits, waste rock storage, as well as acid processing plants commonly associated with traditional mining operations.>Additionally, the firm also plans to produce sodium carbonate and sodium sulfate from naturally occurring sodium-rich brine. It intends to sell the products and use them in its own extraction process to help reduce operating costs. Also, this level of ambition is never going to come to fruition.
>>540329933The refining is hard Will take years So many regulations
>>540332689we have robots and laser lathes now, only a faggot can't figure this out.
>>540328562>we found huge amounts of non-economically viable ore guysConsidering we basically have no source of the stuff at all it's better than nothing, but it's not like anyone is actually going to extract all that and make billions on it. And it will likely take 5 years and be twice as expensive as the stuff we used to get. Would be really nice if a box of turkey loads wasn't 80 fucking dollars for 5 rounds someday.
