None of the theorycrafting about superior tactics or munitions or whatever matters, China is the world's preeminent industrial superpower, and the US isn't. Back in WW2, it didn't matter how much better led the German tank divisions were or how arguably superior German tanks were to US ones, the US could pump out an innumerable number of arms and armor that the Germans could never hope to keep up with, and now due to the US governmen's idiocy in offshoring manufacturing, we're the Germans in this scenario.
